For the Love and Comfort only a Family Member can bring...

Who Are San Antonio Ride 4 Troops?

We are a collective effort of a non affiliated group of individuals that love to ride, wanted to have some fun, fellowship and do something for our community and our brothers and sisters in arms.  The Fisher House™ was the best choice for us!  The Fisher Houses™ main duty of function is to assist in the “housing and care” of a wounded Service member’s Family as they stay close to their loved ones while they recuperate from their injuries while serving our great country!

What Does San Antonio Ride 4 Troops do?

We put together a “run” (group of motorcycles, cars, and yes, even buses from point A to point B) together to raise money for the Fisher House™.  Money can be generated in many different ways, through registration fees, T shirt/Patch sales, 50/50 raffle, Silent Auction and by private donations.  We solicit the general public for raffle items and door prizes, thus helping the community as a whole.

Where are the annual San Antonio Ride 4 Troops held?

Each year the committee picks a route that ensures safety and fun while we all raise money for the Fisher House™!  The surrounding San Antonio areas and the Texas Hill Country are beautiful locations to ride through, so we keep our rides to mainly in and throughout the Texas hill country.

Why San Antonio Ride 4 Troops Does it:

Our military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House ™ Foundation donates “comfort Homes”, built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers.  These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times – during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.  They assist families in need and to ensure that they are provided with the comforts of home, in a supportive environment.  By law, there is no charge for any family to stay at a Fisher House operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs; and Fisher House Foundation uses donations to reimburse the individual Fisher Houses™ operated by the Army, Navy and Air Force.
